PIAA and NFHS outdoor rules will apply with a few modifications
There shall be 7 players on the field at a time including the goalie. A team may play without a goalkeeper; however, a field player may not assume the responsibility of a goalkeeper.
Each team will play 48 minute games with a 3 minute halftime.
All field players shall wear mouth guards, goggles, and shin guards. No jewelry is permitted. Goggles are optional for Grad teams.
Rosters for each team are due prior to the first game.
The goalie must wear proper equipment per federation rules.
Each team player shall wear the same color shirts. The visiting team shall wear pinnies if the teams are dressed similar. The team captain can get pinnies from the YMCA personnel. The captain is then responsible for returning the pinnies to the YMCA personnel after the game.
No lifted balls above the knee unless it’s a shot on goal with a goalie. Any shots on goal without a goalie must be below the knee.
Self Start Rule will be used. The player may restart the ball after a foul. She must make a separate move when starting. E.g. cover the ball, stop the ball. The ball should be started close to the foul.
On penalty corners:
The ball must come outside of the circle before a goal can be scored.
Defending team may have three players and the goalkeeper behind the backline with their sticks. The remaining defending players shall be at the top of the other circle.
Rough and dangerous play or any other behavior will be deemed as misconduct by the official and will NOT be permitted. Cards will be given and penalties will be served. If sever enough players and/or teams will be required to leave the premises. Management will then be notified and future play will be decided. If any play is removed from the game, that player cannot play in the next scheduled game.
ALL decisions the official makes are considered final. No protests will be entered.
